New Google Webmaster Tool Helps You Disavow Unnatural Links

Have you recently received a message in your Google Webmaster Tools about “unnatural links” or has your website seen a drop in rankings on Google?

Unnatural links such as forum signature links, blog commenting links, paid links or any other low-quality spam links may have caused your website to receive a penalty from Google. In some cases you may lose a lot of your Google rankings from this penalty.

Recently Google developed a new tool, which is now a part of Google Webmaster Tools. Google Webmaster Tools allow a webmaster to track many aspects of their website. It shows the search engine’s perception of their website along with information about Google search query impressions, clicks and other SEO information such as backlinks, internal links, and sitemap data.

The newest part of Google Webmaster Tools is the Disavow Tool, which allows webmasters to disavow unnatural links if they are not able to remove them any other way. However, not everyone should be using this new tool.

Only use the disavow tool if…
• You have received a notice from Google about unnatural links.
• You have tried to remove the unnatural links but are unable to.
• You are comfortable with technical computer processes.

We have included a video released by Matt Cutts, which explains the new feature and why it is not to be used by everyone.

Remember, it is only after you have made all attempts to remove these unnatural links that you should use the Google Disavow Tool. Luckily at Local SEO Sites, the links we create for our customers are 100% organic and natural.
